Goldie's Giving Dynasty

My Portfolio
I’m Ben Goldstein from LA, and I’ve been a lifelong NBA fan and a die-hard Lakers supporter, even before moving from Denver. I watch at least 60 out of 81 Lakers games live each season and always try to attend at least one game in person. With my high school friends, I play in a dynasty fantasy basketball league on Sleeper, where we keep our teams year-to-year and draft rookies. Last year, I made the playoffs but finished 5th. I’m pumped for basketball to return, especially with some exciting events coming up for both my team and league before the season starts!

What is Lakers Players Unknown
"Lakers Players Unknown" is a weekly blog where Ben Goldstein reflects on the Los Angeles Lakers and how the team's journey parallels his own life experiences. Each post focuses on a random Laker player from different moments in Ben’s life, using their career or contributions to the team as a way to mirror personal events or what the Lakers were going through at the time. Whether it's a dominant performance from Kobe Bryant, a role player like Derek Fisher stepping up, or the ups and downs of players like Nick Young, Ben connects their on-court moments to what was happening in his own world.
In addition to these personal reflections, "Lakers Players Unknown" delves into current Lakers games, team decisions, and the broader narrative of the season. Ben shares insights into how a specific player's actions or legacy can highlight larger trends with the team, like overcoming adversity or navigating changes. Through these stories, readers gain a unique, heartfelt perspective on the Lakers' past and present, all while getting a glimpse into Ben’s life and how intertwined it is with his passion for the purple and gold.
